Learning the Early Marriage Life


Many early marriage couples believe they can handle life’s many responsibilities and problems together while embarking on their own career paths. I am not legally married, yet, I have 3 sons and a good husband. I was 17 years old when I had my unexpected pregnancy. I experienced advantages and disadvantages that help us couples strengthen the relationship and let us grow together.

*Some Advantages of Early Marriage:

The mind is set in an early age: A big tasked is solved in the early age. One has more time for his career and his family.

Can be a huge advantage in terms of the children’s psychological development: Having a children at early stage can be also an advantage. Why? Before the age of 50, they can be more relax because the children will be old enough to take care of themselves. When their children become teenagers, they’re still young enough to be not just their parents, but also their friends.

Makes you learn your responsibilities at an early age: This can help the young couple responsible enough to make compromises. They have the opportunity to learn their responsibilities as a spouse. Not only does it help to learn these elements early in life, but it also leaves much time to make mistakes and to fix them.

*Some Disadvantages of Early Marriage:

Irresponsibility: Irresponsibility with each other, with careers, and with friends can bring strains to a relationship.
Financial difficulty: An early marriage still means you can live with your parents, but most young couples want to be able to set up their own home and families. Combined with a general lack of higher education, an early marriage could result in financial difficulties while spouses have to juggle working.

Take away the chance for further education: Early marriages are time consuming and this can take away their chance of pursuing further education, whether it is college or graduate school. Young couples can miss out on many opportunities, both social and professional, because of this.
Emotional and psychological stress: Couples have to handle everything on their own is difficult and demanding both individually as a couple. Emotional burn out is a common problem and can create disharmony between young couples.

If you have some conflicts between you and your husband, there will be friction that can affect your relationship. Handling the issues of adjustment lies in regarding your relationship as more important than your individual values and desires. It is usually not easy for a young couple to make adjustments, but the rewards are worth the effort.

Marrying early is an intent to cause harm in the couples future, it also help them learn and to be a young yet matured, responsible and letting them value what’s the real life is.

Just always remember your spouse is a dear friend, not an enemy?
